
Program Overview
PMR Adaptive Sports and Recreation, is a community-centered program within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Pitt and UPMC. PMR- ASR is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing accessible pathways to adaptive sports, recreation, and community engagement. Key initiatives include cross collaboration with healthcare professionals, advocacy groups, and community members to enhance accessibility to adaptive sports and recreation programs. Through these efforts, we strive to create accessible pathways to enhance quality of life, improve physical and mental health, and promote community integration.

PMR Adaptive Sports and Recreation is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing accessible opportunities for adaptive sports, recreation, and social engagement. Our mission is to encourage participation, support personal growth, and lead by example to build confidence and improve physical and mental well-being. We strive to create innovative programs and events that empower each participant to live a full and inclusive life through community centered adaptive sports and recreation.
