Dr. Nussbaum serves as the Program Director for the Sports Medicine Fellowship and is passionate about teaching the Fellows and PM&R Residents. He focuses on teaching trainees about musculoskeletal management, applications of musculoskeletal ultrasound, sideline coverage, and Exercise is Medicine. From a research perspective, he is interested in musculoskeletal ultrasound medical education, injury surveillance/prevention for athletes with disabilities, equity for athletes with disabilities, and overhead athletes. He is a Team Physician for Penn Hills High School.
Clinical Interests: Sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries of all ages, athletes with disabilities, overhead athletes, exercise is medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, advanced interventional ultrasound procedures, orthobiologics, electrodiagnostic medicine and nerve injuries
