What attracted you to the specialty, and why at UPMC?
I was drawn to PM&R because it combines my academic love for the neurosciences with the opportunity to build lasting relationships with a rewarding patient population. PM&R is an incredibly broad and diverse specialty, and I didn’t want to go through residency without tasting everything the field has to offer. UPMC provides incomparably well-rounded training across the entire spectrum of physiatric medicine. In addition to offering top-notch clinical opportunities, UPMC has the added benefit of being an absolute research powerhouse. Ultimately I knew this was a program were I could truly thrive and maximize my personal and professional growth.
