Biography
Stephanie A. Giammittorio, DO, is a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and team physician for Duquesne University's Women's basketball, lacrosse, and soccer teams. Her clinical interests are in non-operative sports and musculoskeletal medicine, sideline sports coverage, ultrasound guided procedures, and concussion management. Dr, Giammittorio also provides pre-participation functional physical exams with the goal of maintaining the health and safety of the athlete in training and competition.

While a fellow at Cleveland Clinic's Sports Medicine program she was team physician for collegiate and high school level athletic programs and participated in professional sports level medical coverage of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indians. She completed the physical medicine & rehabilitation residency program at Eastern Virginia Medical School and received her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
