Why did you choose the UPMC fellowship program?
The people. The energy between the patients, staff, and providers was on a different level. After my first pediatric rehabilitation rotation, having fun at the workplace took on a whole different meaning for me – and once you get a taste of that, there’s no going back! Growing up a couple hours north of Pittsburgh, UPMC Children’s was always our premier children’s hospital. As a kid, I remember whenever my mother would have a complicated patient, they would get sent to UPMC Children’s. The thought of coming back here to finish my last round of training is a surreal feeling. It also doesn’t hurt to be closer to family!
