Matthew MacCarthy, MD
Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellow

Why did you choose UPMC for advanced training?
After graduating medical school, I completed residency in Pediatrics. During training, I discovered a passion for working with disabled children, and I also learned that the best way to focus on this population was through PM&R, so I decided to extend my training and completed PM&R residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. Now at UPMC, I'll be completing my fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, and I'm here because I've heard so many great things about living in Pittsburgh!
